About GaGa
The name GaGa comes from the most important people in Jo's world — her grandchildren Eliza, Felix and Casper, who gave her that most precious of titles.
Jo James lives on a small farm in the English countryside, where the natural world has a habit of dropping in uninvited — and being made entirely welcome. A bat in the bedroom, a squirrel on the cupboard, a mouse rescued in a teatowel — these are not fictional inventions but real moments from a real life lived in genuine harmony with nature.
The GaGa books grew from a simple desire to share that love of the natural world with the youngest generation — to show children that every creature, however small, has a story worth knowing and a life worth caring about.
GaGa's first book, GaGa's Garden, was inspired by a much loved little spaniel called Spottie Lottie. The second, GaGa's Animal House, introduces Frankie — a stray black kitten who arrived on the doorstep one day and never really left.
